Your records stay on your device
This policy applies to the Roamville iPhone app, a product of Alphalumio Co. Ltd. The app does not require an account, contain advertising or tracking SDKs, or upload your activity, health, check-in or photo records to a developer-operated server.
Information the app uses
- Steps: With Motion & Fitness permission, the app reads today’s steps from this iPhone to show walking progress and calculate activity points.
- Apple Health: With your permission, the app reads steps, completed workouts and sleep to display today’s progress and history for a date you select. The daily history screen reads Health data into memory only and does not award additional points. Today’s sleep summary covers the past 24 hours; history uses the selected calendar day, up to the current time for today. It does not read live heart rate, write to Apple Health, or use health data for advertising, marketing or AI services.
- Water and rest: Entries you make manually stay on your device. These records and rewards are not medical diagnoses or sleep-quality scores.
- Location: While you use exploration and check-in screens, location identifies the city and verifies arrival. Location updates stop in the background. Check-in records may include coordinates, accuracy and the time of the visit.
- Photos: With camera permission, check-in photos are saved in the app’s local folder. They are not automatically added to the system photo library.
- Collections: Your journal, points and collections are stored on this device.
Maps and sharing
Apple system services provide city identification and maps. These services may require an internet connection and process location or map requests. If you open Google Maps, Street View or a landmark’s website, that service handles connection information and information you provide under its own privacy policy.
The app opens the system share sheet only when you choose to share. City postcards exclude health values and precise GPS metadata. They use a landmark illustration by default. You can choose to replace it with the photo from that check-in; the app renders a new composite image without the original photo’s capture or GPS metadata. The chosen city, landmark, date, note and any photo you select are visible on the postcard. Reference and license information may appear as text on the image. Your chosen sharing service handles the shared content under its own policy.
Storage, backup and deletion
Health, water, rest, step snapshots and points balances are excluded from system backups and collection exports. Ordinary check-in records, including their locations and city metadata, and check-in photos are eligible for iPhone device backup. Whether a backup is enabled or completed depends on your Apple settings; Roamville cannot confirm its completion. The app has no account or automatic cross-device sync service. You can also export a .roamville collection file or import one to merge check-ins and photos. Imports keep existing records and do not award points again. The file contains private photos and check-in locations; store it securely and share it only with people you trust. It does not include health data or a points balance. You can clear local data in the app’s Settings & Data screen or delete the app. This does not delete records in Apple Health or the system photo library, or copies previously shared to other services. Manage exported files and existing device backups separately. A previous collection export or available iPhone backup can restore ordinary collections; manual water and rest records are not restored from these collection backups. Health history can be read again from Apple Health when available.
Your permissions
You can revoke location, camera and motion permissions in iPhone Settings, and manage health access in the Health app. Denying a permission limits the related feature. Health access is not required to browse collections or manually record water and rest.
