Getting help
Email your iPhone model, iOS and app versions, and the steps that led to the problem. Please cover personal information before sending screenshots.
Steps or workouts are not updating
Refresh steps on Today and allow Roamville under Settings → Privacy & Security → Motion & Fitness. Workouts come from Apple Health. Confirm that your workout app has saved the completed activity and that Roamville has permission to read it. An Apple Watch is not required for iPhone step counting.
A check-in is unavailable
Allow location while using the app, Precise Location and camera access. Refresh your location within the distance shown on the landmark screen, as specified for that place. A recent and sufficiently accurate location is required. Move to an open area if reception is poor. A check-in radius does not grant access to private or restricted property.
Sleep information is missing
Confirm that Apple Health contains sleep recorded in the past 24 hours and that Roamville has read access. Missing records, delayed syncing or denied access can all result in no readable data. You can still record how rested you feel manually.
Data and changing devices
No account is needed. Ordinary collections and photos are eligible for iPhone device backup. Check iPhone Settings for whether it is enabled and its last completion. In Roamville Settings, open Journal backup and restore to export a .roamville file or merge a previous export. Backups include check-ins, city collections, locations and photos, but exclude health, water, rest, steps and the points balance. Importing keeps existing records and does not award points again. Keep exports safe. Clearing local data does not modify Apple Health, the photo library or exported copies.
Language, daily history and postcards
Choose Traditional Chinese or English during the optional introduction or in Settings. Journal → Daily life shows records by date. You can choose to connect Apple Health for available historical steps, workouts and sleep. Missing readings show a dash rather than an assumed zero. Journal → Create a city postcard opens your latest check-in; each visit also has its own postcard action. Adding that check-in photo is optional. Use the fixed Share this postcard button to open the system share sheet; Close only leaves the preview.
